PRACTICAL SKILLS
These videos display my time at the beginning of the year getting back to grips with Premiere Pro.
As you can see it wasn't exactly plain sailing.
But I got there in the end!
Above shows two options I created on Canva as my thumbnail for my live stream at the end of the project. I had already decided that I wanted curtains as the background in order to reflect the name I had decided on at the beginning of the project. I had also wanted script for the title similar to signs that you see when in the street. You can see that I have the same information on both thumbnails but different sizes for the information. I felt like the information was too large in my first design (left hand side) and so reduced the size in my final design. I also felt like the balloons were too tacky and didn't quite fit in with the design. I went for more simple fireworks in the final design as I believe they fit in better with the theme but also work with the idea of an opening night.
Throughout this project I have been attending Production Meetings with the rest of the backstage staff. The image to the left is a picture of the notes that I took within that meeting on the 29th April.
In the meeting we looked at the budget, a possible schedule for access to the theatre, along with when both the lighting and sound crews would be looking at a run through of the cast's run through.
The page also explores a list of things for me to do, I will attempt to create an Instagram for the play to follow the cast and their journey. If this does not work straight away I will have to create a whole new email account to do this.
I feel that attending these meetings have helped improve my note taking skills. My notes are clearer and are easier to read for anyone else who did not attend the meeting and for me to understand in a few months time if they are needed.
Beside is the transferal process of the pictures I took during the project. I learnt this the pictures and films that I shot were too large to be moved my email (the way I normally move them) as well as to be moved into my drive (my usual backup) from my iPhone. I found that the way the image shows is a much easier way to move files. However, if you do not have your charger this is not possible to do, and this only applies to Apple Macs.

Although the process has its faults, this way was a lot quicker than my usual one, I feel it will help me in the future by allowing me to transfer bigger files in a quicker way.
The image above and to the left is of Madonna in the 90s and the image above and to the right a poster of a Dungeons and Dragons monster called a Tiamat- a dragon with five heads.

These images were the ones I found as create props to be used within the first scenes of She Kills Monsters when both Tilly and Agnes are being introduced before Tilly is killed in a car crash. The Madonna Poster is to be held by an extra as the background of Agnes' room, whereas the Dungeons and Dragon Poster is to be held by an extra to signify Tilly's room.
These images help to show the differences between the two sisters.

The images were found on the internet and placed into Canva before being printed off.
They will be placed on a hard backing to help reduce the chance of them being ripped, as they are going to be held a few times even though the amount of shows being performed have been reduced, it will also make it quicker for the actors to pick them up and get into position on stage.

I was originally not using Canva and therefore they would not print out in the correct size, placing them on there has made it easier to get the right formations as they need to be large to be seen by the audience.
