 Job  Applications

letter.jfif

This is an email that I created to send to Orphan Aid in order to try and get work experience. I was told about the organisation by an old family friend and that I HAD to apply. Hopefully this email has made me successful in the application.

The email outlines how I found out about the charity, the experiences I have and the skills that I have gained from them. I have also said what I feel the charity could gain from my time with them.

Dear Mr Govinder,

My name is Scott Crowter and am currently studying Festival and Event Management at Greater Brighton Metropolitan College.

I heard about your organisation through a family friend that I believe you also know, Eunice Harris. She told me a bit about you as a person but also about the work that you do at AIDS Orphan. I am looking for a potential work experience placement organising fundraising events for charities.

Over the past few years I have been involved in organising and running festivals in my local village and town, whilst also working at others. During this time I have handled security, first aid, ticketing, health and safety along with advertising. I have also been volunteering with the latest COVID vaccine roll out working as a marshal both inside the building and outside in the car park. This has led to me gaining skills such as delegation and decision making whilst remaining patient and communicating with both colleagues and the community clearly.

I believe your charity would gain from my dedication, enthusiasm and passion for all children to have the same chances in life and to become the best version of themselves.

I would be extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with you, thank you for your time.

Yours Sincerely,

Scott Crowter
